Hey! If you got it! Flaunt it!
Italian priest Antonio Rungi who wanted to host a contest to end the stereotype of nuns being old and dour has decided to cancel the project. It seems the marketing cincept was not entirely 'on code' with the mission statement for the Catholic Church. Creating more 'visibility' for the much underappreciated nuns might be better served with a less problematic approach. thePEEQ

He had never intended to put sisters on the catwalk and just wanted to highlight that they were "above all women and beauty is a gift from God". Father Rungi wanted to hold the contest online on his internet blog but changed his mind after the local religious authorities expressed their displeasure. "My superiors were not happy," Father Rungi said from the town of Mondragone, near Naples. "The local bishop was not happy, but they did not understand me either. | ||||
